How KidneyCheck works
- It calculates the eGFR with the CKD-EPI 2021 equations. These equations do not use race.
- It gives the KDIGO stage for kidney function (G1 to G5) and urine albumin (A1 to A3).
- It confirms CKD only when results stay abnormal for more than 3 months.
- It gives the Kidney Failure Risk Equation result when the eGFR is under 60.
- It never gives medicine doses or treatment advice.
